{ a NOT-so Oddinary Exhibtion }

Yesterday I went for my RMIT Juniors' GradShow at Alliance Francise @ Newton.... well...what can I say...wasn't extremely fascinated with the works showcased.

I was wondering perhaps i was too picky...Overall the GradShow was pretty well, with the whole "Box" concept in tag and inviting international designers to design their own box.. Can say "OMG! This year they really have budget!" *evil-grinned.

Sad to say that I think Temasek's Design GradShow was much better, I wonder what had gone wrong? Reflected this to our course administrator, Jane, could tell that she was quite disappointed..."Sorry Jane, but i think i should tell you the truth as a person from the Industry." I am wondering if it's because of the larger number of graduates (33pax) this year? Or is it the fact that (from their explaination) that most of them are from video / interactive background? I couldn't pick on one specific, perhaps both?

Guilt-filled, I took another look at the Oddinary GradBook....maybe it's not as bad as i tot....going through the pages, I could merely find an outstanding students perhaps just 1 or 2...(i shall not name them here) but it's not the top student's work that i like...then again design is very subjective...

Anyways, Best of Luck to the Green-Horns! Hope you guys get the dream job...

These guys are the most creative bunch of people....and fun-loving too. They knew i love toys and of cause my trademark Character, dA comes into play. Creating my character from a toy and forms it into the most memorable packaging. Reading through the packaging brings "sourness" to my nose, as if tears are rolling out. It contains our fondness memories we had in our company, from the silly Thinkads Fist Game we created to the imitation of all our laughters by our dear YuanHong, memories that only we knew.

I had the greatest time with these bunch of people, definitely will miss them....

It proves that if you treat people with True Heart, they will know...so what if sometimes people take advantage of your kind soul? as long as you have a clear conscious, everything else are not important. As a designer, i think i have a clear conscious....

Who said you have to be a fierce Art Director to be able to control your designers? Who said you have to play mind games to get your things done?

Be true to everyone and they will be true to you too....
